What is Honesty and Why it is Important?
Sincerity of conduct according to MWD.
In biblical context it means valuable or virtuous, venerable, that is, honorable: – grave, honest.
Proverbs 16:11 “A just weight and balance are the LORD’S: all the weights of the bag are his work.”
Why honesty? When we are dishonest, when we are not honest in in dealing with our works , job, business we contribute a problem not a solution..that problem is corruption! And the Lord hates corruption!
Proverbs 16:5
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Final Thought: You do not need to have a high ranking position in order to be honorable , be honest in that lower rank or position and you’re honorable in quality and conduct!
Honesty is God’s conduct, you are a reflection of God , God is manifesting through you whenever you are honest!
